My
Story
I am Dr. Bishal Acharya, a dedicated Medical Officer based in Nepal. With an MBBS degree from Nepal Medical College and Teaching Hospital as the foundation of my practice, I combine medical proficiency with genuine compassion and a patient-centred approach to care.
From January 2021 to February 2024, I served as a Medical Officer at Provincial Hospital Bhadrapur. There, I managed the Emergency, Intensive Care, High-Dependency, and Outpatient departments; evaluated and treated patients with a wide range of illnesses and injuries; and worked on the frontline of the COVID-19 response.
I also led the hospital’s Opioid Substitution Therapy outpatient program, supporting people with substance-use disorders through treatment, counselling, and relapse prevention. Today, I serve in the Nepalese Army and have completed a United Nations peacekeeping mission in the Central African Republic—experiences that continue to shape my calm, adaptable, and evidence-based approach to medicine.
“Dedicated to excellence in healthcare and patient well-being.”
